ComplyFlow vs Mitti

ComplyFlow vs Mitti: What Each One Does Best.

Mitti (formerly SafetyCulture) runs inspections, actions, training, and a contractor register on one platform. ComplyFlow, Sydney-based since 2009, puts your contractors, Workers, and sites on one record. Here is where each is stronger.

Checked against both vendors’ own pages, 2 and 5 October 2026

The Short Answer.

ComplyFlow runs prequalification, Workers, site access, permits, incidents, plant, and inspections on one record, with AI you set up to read a submission against your criteria before your own people approve. Mitti (formerly SafetyCulture) runs inspections, actions, training, lone worker alarms, and AI agents on one platform, with a register of contractor companies inside it.

In Short

Who Is Stronger, and Where.

Where ComplyFlow Is Stronger

  • The contractor can fix the gaps first. Mitti’s AI reviews a document by rules you set once it is submitted, and none of its pages we read lets the contractor run that review first. A ComplyFlow contractor can run the same AI review before submitting, up to three times. Your approver then sees the assessment, with its reasons, beside the document and decides.
  • Your AI assistant works from the live record. Mitti’s in-app AI Assistant answers questions about your data, such as which contractor licences are expiring; none of the Mitti pages we read describes an MCP server of its own. ComplyFlow’s lets ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot answer from your live data, read-only if you want it to be.
  • Permits are cleared section by section. Mitti’s permit-to-work page describes review, approval, and electronic sign-off workflows set up before work begins, and none of its pages we read gives each section of one permit its own reviewer. A ComplyFlow permit has a reviewer per section, and crews sign in to the active permit.

Where Mitti Is Stronger

  • Inspections and a Training Matrix. Its inspections page describes checklists that work online or offline, AI that turns a photo or a PDF into a checklist, and responses that start an action, an approval, or an alert. Mitti also describes a Training Matrix showing each person against required courses, and AI that builds a course from a document or a prompt. ComplyFlow’s Inspection app works offline too, and it offers site and company inductions, with training and courses.
  • Lone worker alarms with panic buttons. Mitti describes lone worker alarms with compatible Bluetooth panic buttons for a silent alarm. ComplyFlow’s lone Worker cover is an expected time on site with an overrun alert, and an Emergency button on request.
  • A SOC 2 Type II audit report. Its security page lists ISO 27001:2022 and a SOC 2 Type II audit report. ComplyFlow is not SOC 2; it is ISO 27001 certified.

Where Each One Wins

The Honest Version, Both Ways.

Choose ComplyFlow When the Contractor Should Fix the Gaps First.

Mitti’s review runs once a document is submitted. A ComplyFlow contractor can run the same review your approver will see before submitting, up to three times, and fix what it finds, so the file reaches your approver already fixed.

  • The contractor runs the review before submitting
  • Up to three tries, with the gaps listed each time
  • The file reaches your approver already fixed

Choose Mitti When Inspections Are the Point.

If your teams in hospitality, retail, manufacturing, or construction run inspections, actions, and training across many sites, and want contractor management in the same app, Mitti is built for that, and its security page lists a SOC 2 Type II audit report.

  • Checklists that work offline, with AI that builds one from a photo or a PDF
  • Actions, issues, training, and lone worker alarms in the same app
  • A SOC 2 Type II audit report and ISO 27001:2022 certification

Questions

Questions People Ask About Mitti & ComplyFlow.

Is Mitti the same as SafetyCulture?

Yes. Mitti’s About page says it was formerly SafetyCulture, and many of its pages still read Mitti (by SafetyCulture). Read 5 October 2026.

Does Mitti do contractor management?

Yes. Its contractor page describes document and form requests that you review and approve, AI review of insurance certificates and safety policies, expiry reminders, and inspections and actions linked to the contractor company. Its Help Centre describes a register of contractor companies with their workers, credentials, and documents, and labels contractor onboarding in guest seats Early Access in an article updated 22 June 2026.

Does Mitti have site sign-in?

Mitti’s Help Centre article on Sign On, updated 30 September 2026, says workers, contractors, and visitors sign on from a tablet at the gate or by scanning a QR code, that it is part of its Construction module, and that Sign On is an optional add-on. Ask Mitti to show the entry step on your own site: what the person at the gate sees, and where a decision to let someone in is recorded.

How does ComplyFlow connect a supplier, a Worker, and a work order?

Your maintenance or work-order system reads the supplier’s compliance through the API before it releases a job: cleared, and the Worker signs in to the order; not cleared, and your system holds it with the reason on the supplier’s record. The status is the same wherever it is read, and a Worker who is not cleared for the location will not be able to sign in until it is resolved, unless the site is set to allow Sign in Anyway, which notifies the client. The Inspection app records the work, and the open API reads and writes work orders and inspections.

Does Mitti use AI?

Yes. Mitti’s AI page describes AI that supports human decisions and AI Agents that work in the background and surface what needs a decision, and its inspections page describes AI that turns a photo or a PDF into a checklist. Its contractor page says you can ask its AI Assistant which licences and credentials are valid, expiring, or awaiting approval. On contractors, its Help Centre says you can review documents manually or use AI to review them by rules you set. ComplyFlow’s AI reads a submitted answer or file, such as a SWMS, against your criteria and shows its reasons to the person who approves, and the contractor can run the same review before submitting, up to three times. Ask any vendor where its AI review runs, which documents it covers, and who reviews the result.

Is ComplyFlow SOC 2 certified like Mitti?

No. ComplyFlow is certified to ISO 27001, the international standard for information security management, and it is AWS Qualified Software since 2023. Mitti’s security page lists ISO 27001:2022 and a SOC 2 Type II audit report. Both address information security, so check which one your own policy or procurement names.

What does Mitti offer for integrations?

Mitti’s integrations page describes a public API, Zapier, Power Automate, and a no-code Integration Builder, and says integrations are available on its Premium and Enterprise plans. ComplyFlow’s open API reads every module and writes staff, sites, work orders, inspections, and competencies. Ask each vendor how a contractor’s status reaches the system that releases the job.

Can we run both?

You can. One shape is Mitti running your inspections, actions, and training, with ComplyFlow carrying contractor approval, Workers, site access, permits, incidents, and plant. It is still two records for one contractor; ComplyFlow’s REST API and MCP access exist partly to make that cost smaller.
