Is Ideagen Damstra still a product?
Ideagen’s own Damstra page says Ideagen Damstra is now known as Ideagen Workforce Safety, and its M&A timeline lists Damstra among its acquisitions, dated 2024, as a cloud platform for workforce, contractors, assets, access, training, and safety compliance. Read 5 October 2026. Ideagen’s own Damstra site is still live under the Damstra name, with product pages for workforce management, access control, digital forms, safety, and more, and says Ideagen Damstra became Ideagen Workforce Safety on 23 September 2025, same product with a new name and logo. Which Ideagen product covers contractors?
More than one describes it. Workforce Safety covers contractor certifications and compliance, permit to work, and inductions; Ideagen EHS describes managing contractors, incidents, SWMS, permits, and pre starts; and Ideagen Machine Safety describes subcontractor pre-qualification and digital daily pre starts. Ask which holds the contractor record for your sites and whether the three share it.
How does Ideagen’s site access work?
Its Workforce Safety page describes site access control that authenticates individuals before entry and integrates with turnstiles, gates, and door and lock management. Its release note of 16 April 2026 describes a worker mobile app where a worker presents a personal QR code at site terminals, and a site manager who checks workers in and out against terminals. Ask what the terminal does with a worker whose credential has lapsed.
How does Ideagen’s company prequalification work?
Its release note of 16 April 2026 says worksites define the documents companies must submit, the questions they must answer, and the tier of scrutiny that matches each supplier’s risk profile, and that your team verifies each requirement in the platform. It also describes an approval history log, and grace periods when a document lapses. Its mining and construction pages describe an independent verification service for contractor information and qualifications; ask which of your requirements it would check and which your own team would.
Does Ideagen use AI?
Its global Workforce Safety page describes an Enterprise Protection Platform built on connected worker technology and AI-driven risk analytics, and its Ideagen EHS page describes AI-powered insights. Its group home page introduces Mazlan, an AI assistant for EHS, quality, and compliance that helps review and report incidents. The Damstra Digital Forms page lists an AI site assistant and natural language processing, and does not say what they do. Ask which features read a contractor’s submission, what they review, and who decides. ComplyFlow puts an AI agent on the form questions you choose, a SWMS included, which reads answers and files against your criteria and shows its reasons; your people approve. It reviews a SWMS and never writes one.
What should we ask Ideagen about the compliance check before a permit?
Its contractor compliance guide asks whether a platform controls who walks through the gate, runs a real-time compliance check before a permit is issued, and connects the contractor’s record to the physical site. Ask Ideagen to show each of those for one of your contractors, in the product you would buy, and ask ComplyFlow the same.
How does ComplyFlow connect a supplier, a Worker, and a work order?
Your maintenance or work-order system reads the supplier’s compliance through the API before it releases a job: cleared, and the Worker signs in to the order; not cleared, and your system holds it with the reason on the supplier’s record. The status is the same wherever it is read, and a Worker who is not cleared for the location will not be able to sign in until it is resolved, unless the site is set to allow Sign in Anyway, which notifies the client. The Inspection app records the work, and the open API reads and writes work orders and inspections. Read 5 October 2026.
Can we run both?
You can. One shape is Ideagen carrying hardware-linked access and machinery on the sites that need them, with ComplyFlow carrying contractor approval, permits, incidents, plant, and inspections. It is still two records for one contractor, which is the cost you are accepting. ComplyFlow’s REST API and MCP access exist partly so that cost is smaller. Whatever you run, ask what happens between the systems: whether a work order can see the supplier’s status, and whether the gate checks it again when the Worker arrives.
