ComplyFlow vs Avetta

ComplyFlow vs Avetta: What Each One Does Best.

Avetta runs a global supplier network and, since 2021, the worker platform that began as Pegasus. ComplyFlow, Sydney-based since 2009, puts your contractors, Workers, and sites on one record. Here is where each is stronger.

Checked against both vendors’ own pages, 1 October 2026

The Short Answer.

Avetta prequalifies suppliers through a global network, manages Workers and site gates through the former Pegasus platform, and adds field safety forms, certified audits, and ESG ratings. ComplyFlow runs prequalification, Workers, site access, permits, incidents, plant, and inspections on one record, with AI you set up to read a submission against your criteria.

  • Both prequalify contractors and run site access. Avetta’s security page lists its products separately, with its worker products hosted in Australia for Australian customers and supplier prequalification in Germany. ComplyFlow is hosted on AWS in Australia.
  • Avetta names no incident management product. Its health and safety products include prequalification, audits, worker management, field safety, and transport safety, and its AI assistant helps with near-miss reporting and incident investigations.
  • Avetta’s supplier terms treat each new client connection as a chargeable upgrade. Under its supplier terms, a new client site, or a trade that changes its risk classification, is treated the same way. Where a client adds a contractor to its approved list, removing that connection within 30 days of the notice is refunded.

What Each One Sells.

Capabilities, not opinions: each row is what a vendor’s own site describes or does not, read on 28 and 29 September 2026.

Checked against avetta.com on 28 and 29 September 2026, every en-AU solution and product page in its sitemap included, and against complyflow.com. A cross means the vendor’s site does not describe it. Partly means Avetta describes part of it: work requests and work permit documents rather than permits approved by section; near-miss reporting, observations, corrective actions, and AI help with incident investigations, but no named incident management product; worker products hosted in Australia, prequalification in Germany; fees on some client program pages, no general price list. Confirm with Avetta before you decide.

Where Each One Wins

The Honest Version, Both Ways.

Choose Avetta When the Network Is the Point.

If you buy across many countries, want suppliers from an existing network, want ESG ratings and audits by the vendor’s own certified auditors, or already run Pegasus kiosks and boom gates, Avetta is built for that, and provides its SOC 2 Type II report on request.

  • A global supplier network and supplier risk products
  • Certified auditors and a patented ESG Index
  • Pegasus kiosks and boom gates at the site

Choose ComplyFlow When the Site Record Is the Point.

A ComplyFlow permit is raised on a phone, its SWMS read by AI against your criteria, each section cleared by its own approver, and the crew signs in to it. Incidents, plant, and inspections sit on the same record as the Worker you prequalified, and your work-order system can read the supplier’s status before it releases the job.

  • Permits with a reviewer per section and crews signed in
  • Incidents against the Worker you prequalified
  • Plant and inspections on the same record

And When the Question Is Price.

Avetta publishes no general price list; its plans page says a supplier’s tier depends on what its client requires. ComplyFlow publishes its prices on its pricing page.

  • AU$35 a year* per Worker, valid with every Client
  • AU$100 a year per company, where a Client asks for an AI-reviewed prequalification
  • Enterprise plans quoted against your own numbers

Questions

Questions People Ask About Avetta and ComplyFlow.

How much does Avetta cost a contractor?

Avetta has no general price list. Its plans page says a supplier’s tier depends on what its client requires, and some client program pages publish their own fees. Its supplier terms set an activation fee, an annual subscription, and a seat per Worker on its worker products, and treat each new client connection as a chargeable upgrade. Each Avetta charge is set out, dated, in What Avetta Costs a Contractor.

What is the difference between Avetta and Pegasus?

Pegasus is the worker and site-access platform Avetta bought in 2021. Avetta’s privacy and security FAQ lists it as Pegasus Workforce Management, its worker app is Workforce by Avetta, and its supervisor app is Onsite Mobile by Avetta. Avetta also sells a separate Worker Management product, and supplier prequalification sits in Avetta Connect. Its hosting table lists them as separate products. Ask which a proposal includes.

Do Avetta’s products work as one system?

Avetta describes Avetta One as a platform, and its hosting table lists Connect, Worker Management, and Pegasus Workforce Management as separate products. How closely they work together in practice is a question for Avetta, in writing. Ask whether Connect and Pegasus Workforce Management share one implementation and one onboarding, whether a supplier’s approval in Connect reaches the gate without being entered again, and how Field Safety gets its supplier and Worker records.

How does ComplyFlow connect a supplier, a Worker, and a work order?

Your maintenance or work-order system reads the supplier’s compliance through the API before it releases a job: cleared, and the Worker signs in to the order; not cleared, and your system holds it with the reason on the supplier’s record. The status is the same wherever it is read, and a Worker who is not cleared for the location will not be able to sign in until it is resolved, unless the site is set to allow Sign in Anyway, which notifies the client. The Inspection app records the work, and the open API reads and writes work orders and inspections.

Does Avetta use AI?

Yes. Avetta’s AI page says its AI extracts data from uploaded contractor and supplier forms and flags missing or inaccurate information before submission, and its AskAva assistant (January 2024) suggests hazards and controls and helps with incident investigations. Avetta verifies worker records using AI and its own certified compliance professionals, and in September 2025 it announced AI in customer safety audits, answer prompts for suppliers, natural-language search, and a conversational agent. ComplyFlow’s AI reads a submitted answer or file, such as a SWMS, against your criteria and shows its reasons to the person who approves. The contractor can run the same review against the client’s criteria before submitting, up to three times, so gaps are fixed before the approver sees the document. Ask any vendor where its AI review runs, which products it covers, and who reviews the result.

Is ComplyFlow SOC 2 certified like Avetta?

No. ComplyFlow is certified to ISO 27001, the international standard for information security management, and has been since 2019, and it is AWS Qualified Software since 2023. Avetta lists ISO 27001 and an annual SOC 2 Type II audit on its security page, and provides the report on request. SOC 2 is a reporting framework from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (read 1 October 2026); ISO 27001 is the international standard for information security management. Both address information security, so check which one your own policy or procurement names.

What happens to our data if we leave Avetta?

Avetta’s standard client terms let you export your data during the term, and Avetta will send a copy at no charge if you ask in writing at least 7 days before the agreement ends; it need not keep your data more than 30 days after. The contract renews for a year unless your order says otherwise or notice is given 30 days before the end. Check your own order form.

Is Avetta used in Australia?

Yes. Avetta runs an Australian site at avetta.com/en-au and an Australian company with offices in Sydney and Newcastle, and has owned the worker platform Pegasus since July 2021. ComplyFlow is Australian too, Sydney-based since 2009. Read 28 September 2026.

Can we run both?

You can. One shape is Avetta prequalifying suppliers already in its network, with ComplyFlow carrying permits, incidents, plant, and inspections at your sites. It is still two records for one contractor; ComplyFlow’s REST API and MCP access exist partly to make that cost smaller.
