Pegasus Workforce Is Now Avetta: What Changed for Sites, Gates and Workers

Pegasus Workforce is the worker management platform built by Pegasus, a Newcastle, NSW business that Avetta bought in 2021. Avetta's privacy and security FAQ lists the platform as Pegasus Workforce Management, its worker app is Workforce by Avetta, and its supervisor app is Onsite Mobile by Avetta. At sites it means Logpoint kiosks and boom gates, and the login page reads 'Welcome to Avetta!'.

At many Australian sites, Pegasus is the kiosk and boom gate at the entrance, which is where any change is felt first.

If you run operations at a distribution centre, a port terminal, or a depot in transport and logistics, you may have Pegasus at the gate without having thought about the name in years. The kiosk beside the boom gate, the app the drivers open, and the training portal all came from one Australian business. Since 2021 they have belonged to Avetta, and the names have been changing since.

This guide sets out what Pegasus was, what each part is called now, where its data sits, and what to check before your next renewal. It reads Avetta's own announcements, knowledge base, and legal pages, as they stood from 28 September to 1 October 2026.

What Is Pegasus Workforce?

Pegasus Workforce is a worker management platform: it checks that each person arriving at a site holds the competencies, inductions, and training the site requires, and it controls their access at the gate. It was built by Pegasus, which Avetta described at the time as a leader in worker competency management software and services, based in Newcastle, NSW.1

Avetta's announcement listed what came with it: worker competency management, induction and learning management, supplier prequalification, site access, and asset management.1 That breadth is why a site on Pegasus often runs its gate, its training, and its competency checks from one system.

When Did Avetta Buy Pegasus?

Avetta announced the purchase as completed on 19 July 2021, after regulatory approval. It said the Pegasus offices would become the base of Avetta's operations in Australia and New Zealand, and that Pegasus's chief executive would lead its team in that market.1

Five years on, the Pegasus name shows up mainly where users log in. The old pegasus.net.au address now sends visitors, by permanent redirect, to Avetta's Australian site (measured 29 September 2026). The Pegasus Workforce Gateway login page, at login.poweredbyonsite.com, opens with 'Welcome to Avetta!' and carries an Avetta copyright line.2

What Pegasus Is Called Now.

This is where most confusion starts, because one product now has several names in Avetta's own documents. Its privacy and security FAQ, read on 1 October 2026, lists it as Pegasus Workforce Management.10 Its sub-processor list names a product 'Avetta Connect Onsite Track Easy, also known as Pegasus Workforce and Rail Wallet'.3 The worker app on Google Play and the App Store is Workforce by Avetta, and its Google Play package name still begins with 'pegasus'.4 5

For supervisors, Avetta's Australian site now markets Onsite Mobile by Avetta, a free app. It lets a supervisor view company licences, insurance, and site requirements, check workers' roles and competencies, and broadcast messages to the workforce.6 Two Australian companies, Pegasus Management Pty Ltd and Pegasus Safety and Training Pty Ltd, still appear among the Avetta affiliates whose staff may provide support.3

None of this is a criticism. Platforms bought by larger ones are renamed in stages. But when a contract, a support ticket, or an audit asks which system holds your records, you need the name Avetta's own documents use, and today that is Pegasus Workforce Management in its privacy and security FAQ. Ask which name your order carries.

Is Pegasus the Same as Avetta Connect?

No, and the difference matters for your data. Avetta Connect is Avetta's supplier prequalification platform: the company-level checks on a contractor's insurance, safety systems, and documents. Pegasus Workforce Management is the worker-level platform that came with Pegasus. Avetta's privacy FAQ hosts them in different places: its supplier compliance products, including Avetta Connect Health and Safety, are hosted in Germany, while Pegasus Workforce Management has an Australian instance for Australian customers.10

The sub-processor list adds detail for the Pegasus side. For the Onsite product it lists Amazon Web Services in the United States and the United Kingdom, with Australia for backup only, and an Equinix data centre, SY6, as the hosting location for Australian customers.3 If data residency is on your checklist, ask Avetta which of these applies to your account, in writing.

Avetta also describes Avetta One as a platform, and sells a separate Worker Management product. If a proposal bundles Connect with a worker product, ask three things in writing: whether they share one implementation and onboarding or each has its own; whether a supplier's approval in Connect reaches the gate without being entered again; and which of them includes AI document review, since Avetta's AI page describes worker records reviewed by its compliance professionals with the help of AI.15

The Gate Hardware.

At a Pegasus site, access control is physical. Avetta's Pegasus knowledge base defines access control as the Pegasus Workforce Management hardware installed at sites to manage physical access, and calls the devices Logpoints, also known as kiosks, tablets, and boom gates.7 It publishes install guides for LP7 and LP8 kiosks, an LP8 wall-mounted unit, a desktop kiosk, and a tablet with a docking station, and notes that Pegasus has many generations of devices.7

For an operations manager, that last line is the practical one. A site that installed its kiosks years ago may be on an older generation than a site fitted out last year. Before a renewal, list every device at every gate, its model, and who you call when it fails. The knowledge base gives technicalsupport@avetta.com for access control issues and workforcegeneralenquiries@avetta.com for product support.7

Training, Competencies and the Business Rules.

Pegasus runs its own learning management system, which its knowledge base describes as a portal for delivering online and classroom training: administrators build courses, enrol workers, and run reports, and learners complete courses and download certificates.8 The same page describes a migration from a Legacy LMS to the Pegasus LMS and notes that not all clients are migrating at the same time.8 Ask which one your site is on before you plan training for the year.

Competency checks follow published rules. Pegasus's National Business Rules for trade certifications define a trade certificate by reference to the Australian Qualifications Framework, list the other names it goes by, and say which evidence is not acceptable, such as transcripts and apprenticeship indenture papers.9 For a site manager, that is useful: it tells you why a worker's document was knocked back before they reach your gatehouse.

What Pegasus Costs a Contractor Now.

Avetta's pages read for this guide do not say how Pegasus Workforce Management itself is billed, so what follows is our reading, not Avetta's statement. Pegasus now sits under Avetta, and Avetta's supplier terms bill the contractor by default, with a Client Program, offered in certain instances, in which a client opts to pay or obtains discounts on supplier fees.11 Those terms set an annual charge for seats on Avetta's worker products, one seat per Worker, with seats added during a term charged pro rata and no reduction in seats until renewal.11 Ask Avetta in writing which of them applies to your site. The Avetta cost guide reads the rest of those terms clause by clause.

A Worked Example: A Port-Side Depot at Renewal.

This is an example built from Avetta's published pages, not a case. A container depot near a port runs a Pegasus kiosk and boom gate at its truck entrance and a wall-mounted unit at the workshop. About 300 drivers and 40 contractor staff pass through in a month. The client's Avetta order is due to renew in four months.

The operations manager starts with an inventory. From the knowledge base she identifies the kiosk as an LP7 and the workshop unit as an LP8, and asks Avetta's access control support which generation each is and whether either is due for replacement.7 She asks which LMS the depot's induction runs on, and where the depot's worker records are hosted.8 10

Then she reads the client contract. Avetta's standard client terms renew for a further year unless written notice is given at least 30 days before the term ends, unless the order says otherwise.12 She puts that date in the diary 60 days out, so the decision is made with a month to spare rather than on the last day.

What she checked and kept: the device list with models and locations; the support addresses; the LMS the site runs; the hosting answer from Avetta in writing; and the notice date. Whether she renews or not, the depot now knows what it runs.

If You Are Reviewing What Comes Next.

Some sites renew and some compare. If you compare, compare the gate first, because that is where a change is felt on day one. In ComplyFlow, workers and visitors can sign in at a site by scanning a QR code on their phone and completing any induction attached to the site, with no kiosk to install.13 ComplyFlow's site access and training and induction sit on the same record as its prequalification, and a Worker who is not cleared for the location will not be able to sign in until it is resolved.14 A site can be set to allow 'Sign in Anyway', which notifies the client.14

How the two platforms compare row by row, including installed gate hardware, where Avetta is the stronger choice for a site that wants kiosks and boom gates, is in ComplyFlow and Avetta compared. If you have decided to move, the switching guide works back from your term end date. For a wider view of Avetta itself, see what Avetta is and how it works in Australia.

What to Check Before Your Next Renewal.

  1. Which Pegasus devices are at each gate, by model, and who owns them?
  2. Which Avetta product names appear on your order (Pegasus Workforce Management, Worker Management, Connect, or Avetta One), and does each have its own implementation and onboarding?
  3. Where is your worker data hosted, and is it the Australian instance?
  4. Is your site on the Legacy LMS or the Pegasus LMS, and is a migration planned?
  5. How many Worker seats do your contractors carry for your site?
  6. When is your written notice date, 30 days before the term ends?

A gate that works is easy to take for granted. The renewal is the one moment each year to check what is behind it.

Questions

Questions People Ask About This.

What is Pegasus Workforce?

Pegasus Workforce is a worker management platform for checking that the people coming onto a site hold the right competencies, inductions, and training, and for controlling their access at the gate. It was built by Pegasus, a Newcastle, NSW business, which Avetta bought in 2021. Avetta's privacy and security FAQ lists the platform as Pegasus Workforce Management, its worker app is Workforce by Avetta, and its supervisor app is Onsite Mobile by Avetta.

How can I contact Avetta Pegasus?

Avetta's Pegasus knowledge base gives two addresses, read 28 September 2026: technicalsupport@avetta.com for access control issues, and workforcegeneralenquiries@avetta.com for product support. For your own account, the contacts in your client's program page or induction email come first.

What is the Pegasus learning management system?

It is the portal Pegasus uses to deliver online and classroom training for its clients. Administrators build courses, enrol workers, and run reports; learners complete courses and download certificates. Avetta's knowledge base describes a move from a Legacy LMS to the Pegasus LMS, and notes that not all clients are migrating at once.

Is Pegasus the same as Avetta Connect?

No. Avetta Connect is Avetta's supplier prequalification platform, and Avetta's privacy FAQ lists its supplier compliance products as hosted in Germany. Pegasus Workforce Management is the worker management platform that came with the Pegasus purchase, with its own Australian hosting instance. A site can use one, the other, or both. If you buy both, ask whether they share one implementation and one onboarding.
