SafetyCulture Is Now Mitti: What Changed for the App, Logins, and Sites
Mitti is the new name of SafetyCulture, the company behind the iAuditor inspection app, announced on 11 August 2026. Mitti's own pages call it the same app under a new name, say templates, inspection history, and logins carry over, and say SafetyDocs has not moved. The old safetyculture.com address now redirects to mitti.com, and the app is listed as Mitti (by SafetyCulture).
If you look after facilities across a property portfolio, some of your inspections, contractor checks, or toolbox talks may run in an app your team still calls SafetyCulture, or iAuditor. Since August 2026 its maker calls it Mitti. Contractors are asking whether they need a new app, and nobody wants a fire door check missed while that gets sorted.
This guide sets out what changed and what did not, name by name, from Mitti's own announcement, About page, FAQs, support articles, and app store listings, as they stood on 20 October 2026. It closes with what a facilities team should check this month.
What Mitti Is.
Mitti is the new name of SafetyCulture, the company behind the iAuditor inspection app. Its About page describes it as the operations system for every site, shift and standard, and says that, formerly SafetyCulture, it started in 2004 and has grown from a safety and inspections app into a system for running every site, shift and standard.1
In practice it is one platform with web and mobile apps. Mitti's support site lists templates, inspections, schedules, actions, issues, investigations, training, documents, assets, sensors, lone worker, and analytics among the features available across the Mitti web and mobile apps.2
When SafetyCulture Became Mitti.
On 11 August 2026. Mitti's media release of that date, headed 'SafetyCulture becomes Mitti, unveiling a platform built for the future of frontline work', says SafetyCulture 'today rebrands as Mitti'.3 The company's insurance business changed its name the same day: a second release says SafetyCulture Care 'today rebrands as Mitti Insurance'.4
This is the app's second new name in four years. On 21 November 2022 the company announced that its flagship app, iAuditor, launched in 2012, was being renamed SafetyCulture.5 The company itself had taken the SafetyCulture name in 2019, according to the timeline on its About page.1
Why SafetyCulture Changed Its Name.
Because, in Mitti's words, its customers were already using it for much more than safety. The release quotes Luke Anear, whom it names as Founder and CEO: customers had been capturing quality issues, maintenance faults, training gaps, and risk signals.3 It describes the new identity as a major expansion beyond traditional safety management, to one operations system for frontline work.3
On the name itself, the release says the word Mitti has origins in several languages, and that one of its meanings is 'middle', the centre of an operation where decisions get made and work happens. It also says the company's mission has not changed.3
What Changed, Name by Name.
Mitti's pages answer this product by product, and the products have not all moved at the same pace.
- iAuditor and the SafetyCulture app are now Mitti. Mitti's iAuditor page answers the question plainly: 'Same app. Three names.' It says iAuditor became SafetyCulture, SafetyCulture is now Mitti, and you will still see SafetyCulture alongside the new name while the change rolls out.6
- SafetyDocs, the safety document business the company began with in 2004, has not moved. Mitti's FAQ says it is still at safetydocs.safetyculture.com, 'with the same documents, the same team and the same login'.7
- EdApp, the training app that Mitti's About page says joined the company,1 now points elsewhere: edapp.com redirects, by way of training.safetyculture.com, to mitti.com (measured 20 October 2026). Training is listed among the features of the Mitti web and mobile apps.2
- SHEQSY, the lone worker app that joined in 2022 according to the About page,1 still has its own site, which reads 'SHEQSY is moving to Lone Worker in SafetyCulture'.8 Lone Worker is listed as a Mitti feature, with location tracking, periodic check-ins, and panic alerts.2
- SafetyCulture Care, the insurance business, is now Mitti Insurance.4
If a procedure, an induction pack, or a contract of yours names any of these, note which name it uses. Mitti's own pages now use the names above.
Web Addresses, Logins and the App.
The old web addresses forward. safetyculture.com now sends visitors, by permanent redirect, to mitti.com, and help.safetyculture.com goes to help.mitti.com, Mitti's support site (both measured 20 October 2026).
Logins carry over, in Mitti's own words: 'Your templates, inspection history and logins all carry over.'6 On 20 October 2026 the Log in link on Mitti's own SafetyCulture page still pointed to app.safetyculture.com, while its sign-up link pointed to app.mitti.com, and both addresses were live.7
The app kept its place in the stores under the new name. The App Store and Google Play both list it as Mitti (by SafetyCulture), and its Google Play address still carries the package name com.safetyculture.iauditor.9 10 For a worker, that means the app already on the phone is the same app; what changes is the name to look for.
Mitti's announcement is about the company and its platform; its FAQs are where existing users' questions are answered, and their answer is the one above: same app, logins carry over, and both names on screen for a while.3 6 Anything particular to your account, such as single sign-on, an integration, or links built into posters and reports, is worth confirming with Mitti in writing.
Where SafetyCulture Comes From.
It is Australian, by its own account. Mitti's newsroom says the business began in 2004 as a small team working out of a garage in regional Australia.11 Its About page records its first Sydney office, in Surry Hills, in 2014.1 Its 2022 release named SafetyCulture Pty Ltd as the owner of the iAuditor and SafetyCulture trade marks registered in Australia.5
What Mitti Does Now, From Its Own Pages.
Its newsroom sums up the platform as inspections and audits, task management, asset maintenance, training delivery, lone worker safety, and monitoring, powered by AI.11 The August release named new AI features: Agents, which monitor operations and run routine tasks in the background; an AI Assistant that answers questions without digging through dashboards; AI Issue Creation, which turns a photo, prompt, or voice note into an issue ready to review; and 5 Star Benchmarking, one score for each location of a multi-site business.3
For a facilities team that manages contractors, two more pages matter. Mitti's contractor management page says it lets you prequalify, onboard, and monitor contractors in one place, in the same platform as its safety and operations tools, with contractors signing up by QR code and completing inductions on their phone.12 Its support site describes Sign On, part of its Construction module, in which workers, contractors, and visitors sign on at a site from a tablet at the gate or by scanning a QR code at the entrance.13 Its plans are published on its own pricing page.14
A Worked Example: A Property Portfolio After the Rename.
This is an example built from Mitti's published pages, not a case. A facilities manager looks after 14 commercial buildings for a property trust. Her team runs fire door, amenities, and plant room inspections in the app, and two of her cleaning and maintenance contractors use it for their monthly checks. In September a contractor's supervisor emails to ask whether his crew needs a new app and a new account.
She starts with Mitti's own answer: same app, three names, and logins carry over.6 She looks up the store listing, sees the app is now listed as Mitti (by SafetyCulture), and updates the line in her contractor induction pack that tells crews which app to install.9 Her safe work method statement templates came from SafetyDocs, so she confirms from Mitti's FAQ that her SafetyDocs account and library are unchanged.7
Then she writes to her Mitti contact with three questions: whether the QR codes posted in her buildings and the links in shared reports keep working under the new addresses; whether any integration her team set up needs to be reconnected; and which name her contract should now carry.
What she checked and kept: a one-page note of each old and new name, the web addresses as she found them on the day, Mitti's written answers, and the date she checked. If Mitti's pages change again, she will know what she was told and when.
If You Are Weighing a Contractor Management Option.
A name change is a natural moment to look again at what your contractors need from a platform. ComplyFlow is Contractor Management Software: contractor prequalification, Worker inductions, permits, inspections, incidents, and site access on one record. In ComplyFlow, visitors and guests can sign in at a site by scanning a QR code on their phone and completing any induction the site requires, where the client has turned the option on.15
How the two platforms compare row by row, including the rows where Mitti is the stronger choice, is in how ComplyFlow compares with Mitti. For the inspection side alone, our guide to inspection apps scores 10 apps, Mitti and ComplyFlow among them, on the same three tests.
What to Check This Month.
- Which of your procedures, induction packs, and contractor instructions name SafetyCulture or iAuditor, and do they need the new name?
- Do your bookmarks and saved links use safetyculture.com addresses, and do they still land where you expect?
- Do the QR codes in your buildings and the links in your shared reports still open what they should?
- Does anyone on your team use SafetyDocs, and do they know it has not moved?
- Does anyone rely on SHEQSY for lone workers, and what is the plan for Lone Worker in Mitti?
- Which name does your contract with the vendor now carry?
The point of the exercise is simple: the inspections in your buildings should keep running on the day the name on the screen changes.

Questions
Questions People Ask About This.
Is Mitti the same as iAuditor?
Yes. Mitti's own iAuditor page answers 'Same app. Three names.' The app launched as iAuditor in 2012, was renamed SafetyCulture in November 2022, and became Mitti on 11 August 2026. The same page says templates, inspection history, and logins carry over, and that SafetyCulture appears alongside the new name while the change rolls out.
Do I need a new login for Mitti?
Mitti's iAuditor page says logins carry over. On 20 October 2026 the Log in link on Mitti's own SafetyCulture page pointed to app.safetyculture.com and its sign-up link to app.mitti.com, and both addresses were live. If your organisation uses single sign-on or integrations, confirm those with Mitti in writing.
Is SafetyDocs still available?
Yes. Mitti's FAQ says SafetyDocs is operating as it always has, at safetydocs.safetyculture.com, and that accounts and document libraries are unchanged. It also says ready-made documents such as SWMS sit with SafetyDocs rather than in the Mitti platform.
