Why It Is Different

Not a Vendor’s Wish List. A Brief Any Good Platform Can Answer.

Most RFP templates are written by a vendor so that its own product ticks every box. This one is not.

Topic A typical RFP template This procurement brief
Whose side it is on Written by a vendor, with its own features dressed up as requirements. The document your vendors receive names no vendor. Every requirement is something any capable platform can show.
The requirements Everything marked mandatory, so every vendor answers yes. You set Must, Should, or Could for each area. Each answer is classed as Standard, Configurable, Integration, Custom, or Roadmap, with evidence.
What it covers Features only. Security and data, implementation, support, a demo scenario, every cost line at your volumes, weights, and your timeline.
What you keep A PDF you cannot change. A Word document to put on your letterhead, and a separate scoring guide for your committee that never goes to a vendor.

Questions

What Buyers Ask Before They Start.

How long does the procurement brief take?

Six steps, about 10 minutes. Every answer starts with a sensible setting or Not sure, so you can change only what matters to you and come back to the rest.

Do I need to do the chain check first?

No. The brief stands alone. If you did the chain check earlier in the same browser tab, the areas behind your weak links start at Must, and you can change them.

Do I have to give my email to build the brief?

No. Sections 1 to 4 are on screen with no details. Sections 5 to 14 and the Word download ask for your name and company email, once.

Why would a software vendor make a vendor-neutral brief?

Because a brief that favours one vendor gets ignored. The document your vendors receive names no vendor. ComplyFlow is named only in the separate scoring guide for your committee, which never goes to vendors.

Does the brief say whether a vendor meets the law?

No. It asks vendors to describe and show what their system does. Nothing in it assesses whether you or a vendor meet any law or standard, and it is not legal advice.

What happens to what I type?

Your organisation name and the contact for responses go into your document only; they are never sent anywhere. Your choices are kept in this browser tab so you can come back to them. If you send the form, ComplyFlow keeps your name and company email so a person can follow up. How personal information is held is in the privacy policy.

Send Every Vendor the Same Brief.

Six steps and about 10 minutes. Sections 1 to 4 are on screen straight away, with no email needed.
