Prior to engagement with Comply Flow, Qantas Group did not have a standard or unified process for contractor safety management. In an initially fragmented approach, different business units relied on either paper and spreadsheets or a disconnected set of software providers to manage supply chain compliance. With one provider delivering supplier prequalification services and another supporting competency management, there was previously no unified approach, and little visibility within the organisation regarding total workforce compliance.
Qantas required a comprehensive solution which would enable their business to set unique requirements and monitor supply chain compliance, streamline record management, manage work permits and deliver training directly to their workforce within one application.
Comply Flow worked with the Qantas project team to define compliance requirements, including the specific requirements each supplier (company) and worker would need to meet in order to achieve a 'compliant' status in the system. Requirements were deteremined on the level of supplier risk, type of work undertaken by the worker, or plant & equipment operated, with additional site-specific requirements created as needed.
Once requirements were determined, Qantas contractors and their workers were invited to join Comply Flow, submit information and complete training depending on their work categories. Training records from Qantas' previous learning management provider were imported seamlessly into the system, so workers didn't have to recomplete training unnecessarily during the transiton to Comply Flow. Company level documentation, worker records, AOD forms and training travelled along reveiw paths and, once approved, recieve an 'approved status' in the account. When all requested information is approved, the company or worker automatically becomes 'compliant' in the system and all records visible from any device.
